Sharp Microwave/Convection Oven

I have a Sharp Carousel Mic/Con Oven in my 2004 HR and have started having problems with it. When I cook anything in it and put in the time it will automatically cut off after 59 seconds, does not matter how long I time it for it cuts off every 59 seconds. Has anyone else had this type of problem and if so what was the fix. Thanks.

RE: Emergency road service - getting a new DP tire for a flat

I recently decided to get an ERS, after checking a few out and talking to other RVers I decided to go with Good Sam. Just 2 weeks after getting the ERS I had a flat rear inner tire on top of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I limped down to the toll plaza and got off the road and called Good Sam. It was on a Sunday at about 2pm and I was on hold for about 20 minutes until I spoke with someone. I was not to happy about being on hold for that long but the service I received after well made up for it. I like many of you do not have a spare tire on my DP, he called 4 places and finally found one that had a tire to match. Only this mobile tire company was not a member of the Good Sam network. Good Sam explained to me that I would have to pay for the entire service call and the tire and would then have to submit the bill for reimbursement. It was either that or be towed to one of the tire dealers on there network and have the work done on Monday. I had the mobile come out and change the tire, I was on my way in about 2 hours. When I returned home I sent the bill to GS and within 10 days I had a check in the mail for the entire bill less the price of the tire(which was very fair). So I would recommend GS any time.

RE: back-up monitor problem

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Endeavor with the Sony Camera. Was told by a HR tech that Sony had a bad bunch of cameras in 2004. I have known 3 other friends who have had to replace their cameras just as I had to do. I tried everything also to fix the problem, cleaned all connections, checked everything. Posted on here about a year ago and got many responses. One was change the camera and be done with it. I purchased a new camera from rvcams.com and have not had another problem. Tim Lazaroe was great to talk to and helped troubleshot the problem. He was the cheapest and his service was the best. I highly recommend him for all backup camera needs. Was very simple to change also. Took about 15 minutes. Good luck.

RE: Newbie from Canda needs som e advise on Class A's

I purchased a Coachman Catalina 330MBS new in 1996, kept it until 2004 when I got a new DP. It had 85000 miles on it when I traded it in. I never had one problem with the Coach. I did however have to replace the Transmission at 70000 miles. Overall it did an excellent job for us in the 8 years that we owned it. It was a great MH for the price. Good luck in whatever you choose.

RE: Towing with a 330 Cummins

Jtrac, I have almost the same rig as you and I pull a 5700 Tahoe. On flat land the only time I notice the Tahoe behind is when I pull off from a start verses not towing it, and it really is not that much difference. I do travel through the mountains on occasion and also know I am pulling then. Overall my performance and fuel mileage is just about the same when towing or not. I would have to say you will be fine with your set up no matter where you travel. Good luck.

RE: Wear Problems on TOADS tires

The way it was explained to me by many oldtimers(experienced RVers) is that on models that have an excess amount of coach hanging over the rear wheels when you make a turn to the right with the coach the rear of the coach goes left just a little which makes the toad think it is a left turn. Then when the rear of the coach straightens out the toad adjusts to the right. So every time you turn the wheel of the coach this happens. Either direction so after a length of time this constant back and forth movement of the toads front end causes the cupping. I have a 04 40' Endeavor and pull an 05 Tahoe, after I ate up the first set of tires on the Tahoe I went out and purchased a matching set of rims and new tires. Now when I pull the Tahoe before I leave home I install the other set of tires and change when returning. I checked everything else out before I did this and found no problems with anything. Good luck

RE: Ft Wilderness Dog Park @ Disneyworld

We just returned home from a stay at FW and saw the new Dog Park. They were still in the process of finishing the area. It is a very large area with nice fencing, grass and has a small hill that is part of the terrain. Not sure how it will look when it is complete but I did not like the fact that the area was not seperated for large and small dogs. Also did not care for the gate system. It is located beside the 300 loop and across the street from the 500 loop. I have been to many campgrounds with enclosed runs for dogs and unless Disney does a better job with the one being built I dont think many people will just turn there dogs loose in it as it was when we left. Hopefully when we return in December it will look alot different than when we left. Disney usually does everything first class. Have fun on you trip and good luck.

RE: Air compressor Up date

I have a portable carry on air compressor that will easily put 115 lbs of air in my 22.5 tires on my DP. Recently had my tires replaced and checked all pressures and found one tire with only 65 lbs of air. It took my compressor about 4 minutes to inflate the tire to 105 lbs. It is a Viair 400P-RV compressor that I purchased on line from Off Road Warehouse about one year ago. I paid $249.99 with free shipping at the time. This has been one of the best investments that I have made for the RV, I have filled so many other RVers tires at campgrounds after seeing them with those cheap compressors struggling to get air in there tires. I would reccomend this as one of the most important things to carry in your RV. It is lightweight and comes with all the accesories that you need, it gets power from your chassis battery. A great investment. Good luck.

RE: Cummings ISC 330

Thank you to the people who gave me the information on my engine. Also to the few who helped me out on my spelling by replying on the list and privately. I did not realize there were so many perfect people on this forum. What a great place for all kinds of help.

Cummings ISC 330

I have a 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor with the ISC330 with 50,000 miles. I just had it in the shop for oil and all filters service and had my tech check a very slight exhaust leak. He called me and informed me that the exhaust manifold was warped. He then told me this is very common on Cummings engines in DP RV's.I have used this tech for 15 years and he has always taken very good care of me so I have no reason to doubt him. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and what was your outcome. Thanks, Mike

RE: RV-ing at dog shows

We have been showing in an RV for about 15 years. One of the main things we try to avoid at shows where there are no hook-ups and it is hot enough at night that I have to run the generator is to not park to close to anyone with a trailer. They usually have a portable generator that is very loud and they always put it as far away from there unit so they dont have to listen to it at night. I will usually park farther away from the rings so I am not in all the congestion. We dont mind walking a little farther to the rings for the quiet. Also you will need something to get the RV level as we tend to show in fields and who knows what. If you are able to park on your own be sure not to crowd the person who you park beside and the cones someone else suggested will assure someone does not crowd you. Remember it is all about the Corgi's, do all you can to make them comfortable and you will be fine. Congrats and good luck.

Florida Travel Advice

Looking for some advice from anyone who has traveled, or a Florida resident who lives nearby. We will be traveling down I-95 to Tampa Florida in a few weeks. I would like to know if taking I-10 west to 301 South to 24 west through Gainsville back to I-75 south is a good drive. It seems to be about 35 miles shorter than taking I-10 to I-75, but will the shorter miles take longer because of being off the Interstate?? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE: New Tires(22.5) Cost?

I have a 2004 HR Endeavor and looked at the Mich XZA-1 but they would not fit on my coach because they are taller than the 275-70R Ended up getting the Mich XZA-2(275/70R/22.5). The Tires were 391.00 each and I had a mobile tire man come to my house and change all six for 120.00. Had 55,000 miles on GY 670's but GY dealer wanted 501.00 each plus M&B. Good Luck
